Fairly easy to install, even for a 64 year, like me. Just had a little trouble with the bolt holes being rusty on drivers' side and passenger side had a plate I had to remove.
Easy install! Everything lined up perfectly. I installed it on a 2015 Nissan Rogue and it absolutiely saved my life. I was involved in a multi car pile up in California earlier this year and was rear ended by a 3/4 ton pick up. The hitch stopped the truck from the heaviest damage being to the rear of the vehicle to the front impact, if it hadn’t been for the trailer hitch I would have been squashed. Didn’t see that coming!

Quality product that appears to be well-made.
Shipping container could have been more sturdy (it busted through the box in three places).
Install instructions were simple but helpful (socket sizes to remove the tow hook bolts and install the tow hitch, extension, how to remove the plastic retainers).
Install was very easy and I didn't need to unhook the exhaust as suggested by the instructions. Only a small amount of trimming was necessary for the rock guard to fit around the hitch.

No issues one year on, still performing as expected, though I only use it for a bike rack.
I purchased the hitch for my 2013 Nissan Rogue. The trailer hitch worked well and I would certainly recommend the product.
The trailer hitch fit my car perfectly. Delivery was prompt. This company is great to work with. The hitch is very well made. Can't wait to attach my bike rack and hit the trails.
Exactly as ordered for 2017 Rogue. Used the PDF instructions to order the correct tools. Followed the video instructions to install. Highly recommend getting or making a thread chaser for anyone living in snow/salt conditions. In the deep north and I could not have installed without the extra hour spent cleaning my frame threads. I installed until bolts were secure and drove to my local auto store to use their torque wrench to manufacturer specs. Total time was 3 hours, no prior experience with anything like this and 1 hour was cleaning threads. I will echo that the packaging is not adequate for shipment and my hitch had busted through in two spots. I don't find it concerning given the integrity of the hitch material, but the packaging is bad.
Perfect fit and easy install..was going to go through Walmart for a "universal" fit, but I'm glad that I didn't.

Works great! I use it for a basket attachment on my car. I have never pulled anything with it, but my son assures me it is as good as his factory one on his truck! A little hard to install on a Nissan Rogue, but that is a Nissan issue, not a etrailer issue!
For the most part I am very happy with this wiring kit. Assembly was easy and everything fit perfectly. However, I didn’t run the hot wire (black) to the battery. That would have made the installation much more difficult. I simply spliced in a 12 volt plug. When I use the trailer I just plug it into the receptacle in the rear of the car. I attached 2 photos of my hot lead. This option works great.
I'm very pleased with this bike rack. I'm able to carry my Trek ebike on it. No problem at all with handling the extra weight of an ebike. It was easy to assemble and it's pretty light compared to other racks for ebikes. I remove my rack and bring it inside instead of keeping it on my vehicle all the time. It's light enough to be able to easily carry it inside upon removal from the trailer hitch.
2018 Nissan Rogue (not the Sport model). Perfect fit. Hidden well. Will order again from etrailer for my next car.
I use a longer ball mount to ensure trailer clears the bumper. For the electrical I purchased the Nissan wiring harness and cut the end off instead of going through the floor of the car (not a good idea in my opinion). Instead I used the connector portion that came from etrailer and hang it out the hatch when needed (also avoids the weather wear).

Very easy to install to my 2015 Nissan Rogue. I have used it to carry a variety of different bike racks. I have already suggested this same hitch receiver to a few other people because it is a good price, and easy to install. If you have a 2015 Nissan Rogue or another car this will work on, you can end your search here!
Excellent product; fit my 2019 Rogue exactly as described in the very helpful video; had no problem installing the hitch which took about 30 minutes (the holes lined up perfectly and I didn't even have to jack up the car or put it on a lift); especially satisfied with the expeditious delivery which took about 4 days. I plan to use it with the Swagman XC 2-bike rack platform style that I ordered from etrailer to carry my wife's and my bikes on vacation trips.

Excuse the dark picture but I installed the hitch by myself as soon as I got home when I saw that it had been delivered. Hitch receiver is very well made and high quality. Everything aligned perfectly and it looks awesome installed. The only thing visible is the receiver tube. Absolutely cannot beat this hitch for the price. Thank you etrailer!

Its been a year and everything that I said previously still stands. I use my hitch every weekend and it has held up to everything.
Great product, needed this quickly for a storage tow hitch we have for our Rogue. We would be traveling for the holidays and it wasn't difficult to install, just need right size tools and you're good to go, I did need to cut plastic on our Rogue in order to put back undercover flap. Not a concern for me. Shipping box was damaged though but product was fine. Great hitch!

Looks nice feels solid and installs simply. This hitch is exactly what I needed for the bike carrier I use and couldn’t be happier. Installed on my 2008 Nissan Rogue with my only troubles being the rogues frame being a little crusty making the bolts tough to screw in on the left side. Nothing brute strength and spray lube couldn’t handle though. Did not need to move the exhaust or modify anything as it fit perfectly.

The trailer hitch receiver for my 2012 Rogue was easy to install. We did not need to drop the muffler. The holes lined up perfectly. The only problem we had was removing the rust from the exposed weld nuts to attach the hardware on the driver's side.

The hitch I purchased was delivered fast. It was so easy to install with the help of the video. By doing it myself I saved so much money!
The etrailer hitch is a great looking, sturdy hitch that is simple to install. I backed up our Rogue onto oil change ramps to give myself a little more room to work, but even that is not entirely necessary. The only problem was a defective factory weld nut on the passenger side (not the hitch's fault) that made it a bear to remove one of the bolts for the factory tow plate and install the new bolt for the hitch. But with some effort and a long enough ratchet, we can now carry our bikes.
A couple installation tips:
- You'll need a 5" or longer socket extension to reach the bolts, especially on the passenger side.
- You don't have to lower the exhaust.
- Despite what the instructions say, you CAN replace the appearance panels. (Not required, but I hate having extra parts when I'm done.) The passenger-side panel is easy to reinstall.
- The driver's side appearance panel needs to have a rectangle cut out of it to fit around the hitch, 3 3/8" wide starting 3" up from the bottom of the flat part, with a small triangular notch in the corner. (See photo.) You can cut the plastic with a sturdy pair of kitchen shears. You'll need to work it a little bit to get around the exhaust pipe, but then just clip it back into place.
Easy to order. Fast free shipping. Quick exchange of a product that wasn't really defective. I read reviews that said the hitch receiver was off center once installed, so I measured it as soon as I got it and emailed customer service with a photo asking if the receiver was supposed to look centered on the beam itself. (It's not.) They quickly sent a replacement and a prepaid return label. Turns out, the replacement was the same. Customer service could have saved the company on cost of shipping and me the hassle of an exchange had someone looked at my photo and said "the hitch will be centered once installed if it's off center on the beam," because I suspected it might have been the case, but I wanted confirmation before going to the trouble of the actual installation. Anyway, the product itself is exactly what I was looking for. The installation video should have included a better idea of the cut out necessary on the driver side. Luckily, I did a pretty good job of eyeballing it, if I do say so myself!
